JR Accountant

Position Summary

• Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements
• Post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments
• Maintain monthly general ledger reconciliations and support the close process
• Assist with accounts payable check runs and payment approvals (ACH/Positive Pay)
• Record and apply customer payments; assist with cash and receipt reconciliations
• Support job cost tracking and expense coding within the ERP system
• Assist with labor, overhead, and project cost allocations
• Maintain fixed asset records and support depreciation schedules
• Prepare recurring financial and operational reports (job status, backlog, cash position)
• Support internal and external audit preparation, including union and workers’ comp audits
• Assist with quarterly and annual tax filings (payroll, sales & use, and state reporting)

Technical Qualifications

• 1+ years of accountant‑level experience (GL, bank recs, journal entries required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience supporting audits or CPA requests
• Exposure to construction or project‑based accounting preferred (not required)
• ERP experience preferred; Viewpoint Vista a strong plus
• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail
• Organized, deadline‑driven, and eager to learn in a team environment

Work Arrangement

• Fully onsite role
• Flexible schedule; 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
