Must Haves:
Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN).
Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Pluses:
CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar entry-level certifications.
Experience with help desk or IT support (internship, volunteer work, or coursework).
Exposure to ticketing systems and remote support tools.
Position Summary
The IT Support Specialist will provide technical support and assist with maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving and ensuring smooth technology operations. You will work closely with leadership and external resources to support day-to-day IT needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor network and system performance using company tools.
* Respond to Tier 1 help desk tickets, phone calls, and emails promptly.
* Troubleshoot and resolve basic network, connectivity, and hardware issues.
* Assist in configuring and deploying workstations, printers, and network devices.
* Support user account creation, password resets, and permissions management in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
* Document support actions, solutions, and system configurations accurately.
* Escalate complex technical issues to Tier 2/3 engineers when necessary.
* Apply software updates, security patches, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
* Participate in rotating on-call schedules as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
