Overview
A law firm specializing in Personal Injury matters is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Case Manager to join their legal team.
Key Responsibilities
● Manage a personal injury caseload in presuit stage
● Apply a general understanding of the Bodily Injury claims process
● Identify cases eligible for Full Demand, Quick Demand, and Global submissions, and submit them to the appropriate department
● Review and submit potential production cases
● Qualify clients for Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits
● Assist clients with property damage claims, including loss of use and diminished value
● Communicate regularly with insurance adjusters and insurance companies
● Obtain and follow up on insurance coverage information in a timely manner
● Monitor medical treatment and follow up with providers as needed
● Request, obtain, and review medical records and billing statements
● Update adjuster and insurance information accurately in the system
● Maintain thorough documentation in Clio, including submission of applicable subrogation letters
● Maintain frequent communication with clients, answer questions, and ensure proper care
● Upon attorney review, discharge cases and submit proper documentation for Attorney Liens
Qualifications
● Fluent in English and Spanish (Spanish fluency is required)
● Must have strong multi-state knowledgeable in case management
● knowledgeable in handling a high-volume caseload
● Minimum 2 years of personal injury pre-litigation experience as a Case Manager or Paralegal.
● Strong working knowledge of the PI process, treatment flow, and property damages evaluation.
● Strong multitasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
● Resourceful, proactive, and solution-oriented when issues arise
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, insurance adjusters, and vendors
Skills Required
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
● Strong computer skills, including telephone systems and standard office equipment
● Excellent organizational skills with the ability to follow instructions, shift priorities quickly, and meet deadlines
● Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently
● Excellent planning, reporting, and documentation skills
● Strong negotiation skills
● Experience with document preparation
