JIRA Administrator
Location: Greenwood Village, CO (Onsite)
Engagement Type: Long-Term Contract
Pay Rate: $55 – 60/hour
Interview Process: 2 rounds
Position Overview
Our Enterprise-level client is seeking an experienced JIRA Administrator to support the development and maintenance of JIRA and Nexus tools used to deliver executive-level dashboards. These dashboards function as a critical time-tracking and financial reporting solution, enabling more than 70 departments across the company to track capital and operational spend across projects.
This role requires a strong technical JIRA administrator with hands-on experience configuring workflows, managing users and permissions, and maintaining system efficiency in an on-premises JIRA environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role and be comfortable supporting enterprise-level users and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support JIRA in an on-premises environment, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability
- Configure and maintain workflows, screens, and project schemes across multiple JIRA projects
- Create and manage post functions, workflow validators, and workflow conditions
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions across JIRA projects
- Support the development and enhancement of executive-level dashboards used for time tracking and financial reporting
- Collaborate with stakeholders across 70+ departments to ensure accurate project and financial tracking
- Perform standard JIRA administrative duties, including system maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Support and maintain Confluence spaces as needed
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a JIRA Administrator
- Strong experience supporting cloud JIRA environments
- Hands-on experience with:
- Workflow configuration
- Post functions
- Validators
- Workflow conditions
- Screens and project schemes
- Proven experience managing users, permissions, and roles within JIRA
- Experience with Confluence
- Ability to work independently and support enterprise-level teams
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting executive-level dashboards and reporting tools
- Strong understanding of project tracking, time tracking, and financial reporting use cases
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
