Buckhead law firm is seeking a litigation legal assistant with at least five years of law firm experience. This is a direct-hire, permanent position in a well-established law firm.
To be considered, litigation legal assistant candidates will have a minimum of five years’ experience supporting attorneys whose work includes commercial bankruptcy litigation and other business litigation matters. We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in a busy work environment and has excellent technical skills. Good written and verbal communication abilities are necessary, as well as attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
Litigation legal assistant will provide administrative support to include:
- Drafting, proofing, and editing legal documents and correspondence
- Maintaining attorney calendars
- E-filing with state and federal courts
- Scheduling appointments including depositions, client meetings, court hearings, and handling travel arrangements when needed
- Assisting attorneys and paralegals with trial preparation
- Reviewing client bills
- Maintaining and updating client files
- Entering attorney time into billing system
- Helping with special projects when needed
