We are seeking a detail‑oriented and adaptable Accounting Specialist to join a fast‑paced law firm in Los Angeles on a temp‑to‑hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to grow with a reputable firm.
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Accounting and has at least one year of relevant experience. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to pivot quickly while managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review Accounts Payable checks for accuracy prior to issuance
- Assign and validate Positive Pay to support fraud prevention and compliance
- Verify supporting documentation and underlying activity before processing transactions
- Communicate with legal teams following settlement payouts to confirm completion and provide updates
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with related accounting tasks
- Maintain a task‑driven approach while learning firm processes and understanding all operational workflow
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
- Minimum 1 year of accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
- Professional communication skills and a proactive mindset
