We are seeking a detail‑oriented temporary to hire Grant Billing Specialist to support a finance team within a nonprofit, grant‑funded environment. This role is well‑suited for a collaborative professional with hands‑on experience in reimbursement‑based funding, grant invoicing, and contract compliance. This is a hybrid role and for the right candidate has potential to move into a permanent postiion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor grant and contract activity to ensure expenditures align with approved budgets, funding terms, and compliance requirements.
• Prepare and submit accurate grant and contract invoices, including assembling required backup and supporting documentation for reimbursement.
• Review expenses and assign appropriate billing and cost codes to ensure proper reporting and payment.
• Track grants receivable and revenue activity, including maintaining balance sheet detail and performing ongoing reconciliations.
• Maintain billing schedules, internal reports, and documentation to support audits, reviews, and funding oversight.
• Partner with program and operational staff to support timely invoicing and maximize appropriate use of grant funds.
• Communicate with external funding agencies and fiscal contacts to obtain required information and resolve billing or reimbursement issues.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned to support financial operations.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a nonprofit or grant‑funded organization.
• Demonstrated experience with reimbursement‑based grants or contracts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and comfort working cross‑functionally.
