We are partnering with a well-established, mission-driven organization in Los Angeles seeking multiple Grant Specialists to support their finance team on a contract basis. This is a great opportunity to contribute to high-impact initiatives while working in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and monitor grant budgets to ensure compliance with funding requirements
* Track allowable expenses and support financial reporting for multiple funding sources
* Prepare and review grant-related financial reports and documentation
* Partner with internal program teams to ensure accurate budget utilization
* Assist with audits and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations
* Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve processes
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience in grant accounting, fund accounting, or financial analysis
* Experience working with government or nonprofit funding (highly preferred)
* Strong understanding of compliance, reporting, and budget tracking
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
* Experience with accounting systems such as MIP, Sage Intacct, or similar is a plus
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
