Responsibilities
- Perform fiber optic network cabling installations, including splicing, polishing, cleaving, connecting, and fusion splicing
- Execute fiber optic testing using Corning, Exfo, and Fluke testers
- Assist with design and engineering for ISP/OSP projects
- Support fiber optic cabling documentation using OSP Insight
- Operate test equipment to evaluate fiber optic and copper components, sensors, and systems
- Work with equipment from Corning, Exfo, Fujikura, Sumitomo ABF, and Fluke Networking
- Install Cat 6, Coax, and fiber optic cabling
- Perform fiber and copper maintenance, including emergency restoration, inspections, troubleshooting, and documentation
Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance and ability to work 5 days a week onsite
- 2+ years of experience working in Telecommunications focused roles
