Job Description

The Systems Administrator will support the Army‑Wide Network Enterprise, delivering secure and reliable network services to over one million users worldwide across both classified and unclassified environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support the Army‑Wide Network Enterprise spanning global unclassified and classified networks
  • Interface with Remote Network Enterprise Centers (RNECs) and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) personnel to provide technical assistance and resolve network issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain network protocols on Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues in real‑time and high‑impact environments
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting for critical, real‑world operational scenarios
  • Analyze network traffic, utilization, and workload using tools such as Wireshark
  • Monitor network health and performance using Spectrum and NDFC
  • Support Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI) by providing technical oversight and assistance
  • Maintain and update network designs and topologies using Microsoft Visio
  • Protect enterprise networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats by implementing security controls using GAM
  • Review and validate network documentation including DCABs, RFCs, and FCWs
  • Update procedures related to network installation, operation, and maintenance
  • Conduct research and development on emerging technologies to enhance future network capabilities
  • Train personnel on WAN Enterprise capabilities and troubleshooting techniques
  • Brief government officials, military personnel, vendors, and VIPs on current and future enterprise network status
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in high‑stress operational environments
