Beacon Hill Associates is hiring for a Data Center Operator to support production operations by operating equipment, managing output processes, and ensuring accuracy within a high-volume data center environment.

Assignment Details

Hours:

Tuesday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM EST

Saturday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM EST

Duration: 6 months

Assignment Type: Contract

Pay Rate: $18/hour

Position Summary

This is an entry-level role within a data center environment supporting print, mail, and production operations. The Data Center Operator will assist with operating equipment, performing basic troubleshooting, and completing clerical and manual tasks to ensure efficient processing and accurate output.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Equipment Operation & Support

• Operate printers, inserters, mail processing, and finishing equipment under supervision
• Perform basic troubleshooting, including clearing jams and minor service actions
• Monitor equipment performance and escalate issues as needed

Production & Output Processing

• Assist with document assembly, packaging, and postage application
• Ensure accuracy and quality of printed materials and output
• Identify and report issues such as misprints, document sequencing errors, or quality concerns

Data Entry & System Interaction

• Use computer systems to queue work, input data, and respond to system messages
• Prepare production control reports under guidance

Clerical & Inventory Support

• Perform clerical tasks related to inventory and outgoing product control
• Track materials and support production workflows

Team & Communication

• Work closely with team members and supervisors in a production environment
• Communicate clearly regarding issues, delays, or production concerns

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of data center, print center, or related experience preferred
• Open to entry-level candidates seeking to enter the tech or data center space
• Basic understanding of computer hardware or willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Basic math skills required for production tracking
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Clear verbal communication skills
