Our client, a public electricity and natural gas utility company located in the Green Mountain area of San Antonio, is seeking a Data Control Clerk 2 to join their team. This is a 2-year contract position and will be fully onsite Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
This role is responsible for collecting, reviewing, and inputting data into a computer processing system. The Data Control Clerk 2 will code and input data, identify and resolve production-related errors, and maintain control logs, records, and coding schemes using established guidelines to ensure accurate data processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, develop, and maintain statistical reports
- Input and update data within SAP
- Answer incoming calls and provide information or direction to internal and external contacts
- Perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and utilize 10-key skills
- Maintain and organize paper file records
- Provide cross-functional support by assisting other roles within the business area
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all data-related tasks
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written instructions
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately with quantitative data
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Ability to analyze information and apply logical reasoning
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
- Dependable with a strong sense of accountability
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other tools)
- Experience working with SAP or similar systems
- Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
Education Requirement:
- High School Diploma or GED required
