Transactional Associate Attorney

A well-respected Midwest law firm is seeking a Transactional Associate Attorney to join its growing Cincinnati office. This position is ideal for an attorney with experience in corporate, real estate, banking, or other transactional matters who is interested in developing a long-term focus in commercial finance.

The role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of financing and corporate transactions while receiving direct mentorship from experienced finance attorneys. Attorneys will gain meaningful responsibility early in their careers and participate in sophisticated transactions involving lenders, borrowers, investors, and business clients across a variety of industries.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with commercial lending, acquisition financing, real estate financing, and other debt-related transactions
• Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, security documents, guaranties, and related transaction documents
• Support transaction structuring, due diligence efforts, and closing processes
• Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, and financial institutions throughout transactions
• Collaborate with attorneys across corporate, real estate, tax, and other practice groups
• Contribute to a wide range of business transactions beyond traditional finance matters

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• At least 1 year of transactional legal experience
• Experience in corporate, finance, banking, real estate, commercial transactions, or related practice areas preferred
• Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication abilities and a client-focused approach
• Interest in developing a commercial finance practice over the long term
