Litigation Legal Assistant (Temporary-to-Hire)
Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant for an immediate opening with a respected law firm in Reno, Nevada. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent position.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned legal assistant with strong civil litigation experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
Responsibilities:
- Support two attorneys in a busy litigation practice.
- Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents in state and federal courts.
- Manage calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, and meetings.
- Maintain and organize case files and litigation documents.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
- Draft and revise legal correspondence and other case-related documents.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of civil litigation legal assistant experience.
- Strong knowledge of court filing procedures and litigation workflows.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal software applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- 40 hours per week.
- Fully onsite during initial training.
- Opportunity to work remotely one day per week after training is completed.
