Atlanta law firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal for a permanent position. This paralegal will join a team of attorneys who represent commercial developers, investors, lenders and brokers across the country. Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of commercial real estate loan documents with extensive title and survey experience.
We are looking for a self-starter with a full understanding of commercial real estate transactions who can multi-task and manage critical deadlines. Responsibilities will include:
- Perform due diligence and analyze material
- Drafting, reviewing and editing loan documents for commercial real estate closings and coordinating closings
- Preparing closing packages
- Performing title and survey review and drafting title objection letters and summaries
- Communicating with all involved parties to obtain necessary information and updating them regarding status of closings
- Ensure that all necessary information is in the files and required signatures are obtained so the closing files can progress according to deadlines
- Handling post-closing matters including preparing title policies, disbursement of funds and recordings
Commercial Real Estate Paralegal must have at least four years of experience in a law firm or commercial real estate title company and possess a four-year degree or paralegal certification. MS Word and Excel proficiency is required. Candidates should have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize, manage closing deadlines and multitask – this is a successful and busy team!
