A well-established and growing organization in the North Shore area is seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Specialist to support the administration, compliance, and continuous improvement of employee benefit programs. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with HR leadership, employees, and external partners to ensure a positive benefits experience while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Process enrollments, status changes, terminations, and benefit updates accurately and timely.
  • Respond to employee benefits inquiries and provide guidance regarding plan options, eligibility, and coverage.
  • Coordinate COBRA administration and support leave management activities, including FMLA tracking and documentation.
  • Maintain benefit records and ensure data accuracy within HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and optimize service delivery.
  • Support open enrollment activities, employee communications, audits, and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Hands-on experience with employee benefits programs, COBRA administration, and FMLA processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, benefits platforms, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization.
