Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing plans, work instructions, Bills of Material (BOMs), work packages, and production documentation supporting aircraft modification activities.
  • Create and revise installation planning for aircraft electrical systems, wiring harnesses, wire bundles, avionics equipment, and related subsystems.
  • Translate engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and technical requirements into executable manufacturing work instructions.
  • Provide ship-side support for aircraft production and modification efforts, assisting with real-time manufacturing planning and issue resolution.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, quality, and production teams to resolve installation challenges, configuration discrepancies, and manufacturing issues.
  • Support engineering change incorporation, corrective actions, and implementation of design updates within production planning.
  • Develop labor plans, work sequencing, tooling requirements, and installation schedules to support efficient production execution.
  • Utilize manufacturing planning and execution systems to create, release, and maintain manufacturing work packages.
  • Participate in root cause investigations, corrective action activities, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, schedule, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members and support production readiness reviews, supplier coordination, and manufacturing documentation activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting aircraft electrical systems, wiring installations, avionics integration, or wire bundle/electrical modification activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and technical data packages.
  • Experience developing manufacturing plans, work instructions, routing packages, production work orders, or similar manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience supporting production floor operations and resolving manufacturing-related issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience implementing engineering changes and supporting production planning for aircraft manufacturing or modification programs.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance; experience supporting military aircraft, modification, MRO, or depot environments is highly desired.
