Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access management.
- Manage and optimize enterprise virtualization platforms such as VMware, Nutanix, and Proxmox to ensure system availability and performance.
- Implement and maintain security controls, system hardening measures, and compliance requirements in accordance with applicable standards and best practices.
- Monitor infrastructure and network performance, troubleshoot system issues, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
- Perform system patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation activities while minimizing operational impact.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions, including routine testing and validation of restoration procedures.
- Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, system configurations, operational procedures, and security policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure initiatives, technology upgrades, and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Active secret security clearance or higher and current CompTIA Security+ certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience supporting and administering systems within a highly regulated, security-focused environment.
- Strong experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and user account management.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise virtualization technologies such as VMware, Nutanix, Proxmox, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts, system security practices, infrastructure management, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience with system patch management, vulnerability remediation, backup solutions, and disaster recovery processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and documentation skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
