Location: Maple Grove, MN (Full-Time, Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Regular Business Hours
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $130,000 – $150,000, depending on previous experience
About the Opportunity
Beacon Hill’s client, a growing manufacturing company, is seeking a Senior Manager, Learning & Development to lead the organization’s learning strategy and talent development initiatives during a period of significant growth and transformation. This position will play a critical role in building a scalable learning infrastructure that supports employee development, operational excellence, leadership effectiveness, and long-term business success.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced learning and development leader who enjoys creating impactful training programs, developing future leaders, and establishing processes that support a high-performing workforce.
Summary of Duties
- Lead the development and execution of a company-wide learning and development strategy that aligns workforce capabilities with business objectives and long-term organizational priorities.
- Create scalable training frameworks, governance standards, and development programs that support continued growth and operational expansion.
- Partner with leaders across Human Resources, Operations, and other business functions to identify skill gaps, assess organizational development needs, and implement targeted learning solutions.
- Design and oversee technical training initiatives that strengthen employee competencies, support operational excellence, and improve workforce readiness.
- Develop standardized onboarding programs, certification processes, and structured learning pathways to ensure employees receive consistent training and advancement opportunities.
- Establish competency models, skills matrices, and development frameworks that support career progression across multiple functions and levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to identify critical training needs and implement programs that enhance quality, productivity, safety, and overall performance.
- Create and deliver leadership and management development programs focused on coaching, communication, employee engagement, performance management, accountability, conflict resolution, team effectiveness, and change leadership.
- Build comprehensive leadership development pathways that support both emerging and established leaders throughout their professional growth journey.
- Oversee learning operations by implementing training administration processes, maintaining training records, and ensuring certifications and compliance requirements are accurately tracked.
- Partner with Human Resources and technology teams to optimize learning systems, leverage training technologies, and improve the overall learner experience.
- Develop learning analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide visibility into training participation, skill development, and program effectiveness.
- Establish measurable success metrics to evaluate learning outcomes, employee progression, leadership development impact, and overall business results.
- Continuously assess feedback, performance data, and organizational needs to enhance training programs, improve effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement across all learning initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth while ensuring development programs remain sustainable, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Experience leading and managing learning and development programs
- Proven success designing and implementing technical training initiatives
- Experience developing leadership and management training curriculum
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities
- Ability to build strong partnerships with leaders across multiple business functions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting rapidly growing organizations
- Experience building learning and development functions from the ground up
- Background supporting manufacturing, operations, engineering, or technical workforces
- Experience creating competency frameworks and workforce development models
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experience supporting organizational integrations, acquisitions, or business transformation efforts
