We’re seeking an Accounting Specialist – Billing to join a busy accounting team supporting high-volume service billing operations. This role is ideal for someone with billing experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with others, and helping ensure invoices are accurate and processed on time.

Position Summary
The Accounting Specialist – Billing is responsible for processing invoices, reviewing billing activity, resolving discrepancies, maintaining account records, and supporting customers and internal teams with billing-related questions. This role plays an important part in ensuring accurate billing, timely revenue recognition, and overall customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process customer invoices.
- Review work-in-progress reports and track billing activity.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, rebills, and customer disputes.
- Maintain billing records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with reconciliations and month-end billing activities.
- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and internal departments to ensure timely payment and accurate billing.
- Process non-billable service work and daily invoice activity.
- Manage billing-related emails and customer inquiries.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or accounting support experience.
- Experience processing invoices from start to finish.
- Familiarity with rebills and billing adjustments.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of work.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
- Time & material billing experience.
- Construction, service, or mechanical contracting industry experience.
- Exposure to payment applications.
