The Las Vegas office of a national law firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant for a permanent position. This successful defense law firm offers excellent benefits and competitive salary.
To be considered, legal assistant should have at least six years of experience as a legal assistant in a full-service or defense law firm, e-filing with state and federal courts, and experience assisting with trial preparation.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and organizing files
- Drafting, formatting, editing and proofreading legal memos and correspondence, pleadings and discovery
- E-filing with state and federal courts
- Managing attorney calendars and scheduling meetings, conference calls and travel
- Communicating with clients, court officials, vendors and others involved in the cases
- Assisting with billing, time entry, expenses, and accounts receivable
- Entering attorney time
- Assisting with special projects
