A Beacon Hill client in Gloucester County, NJ, is seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant to join their team.
Candidates will be hired on a contract-to-hire basis, converting full-time at a salary of $80,000. This position sits hybrid 3-4 days onsite.
Title: Sr. Staff Accountant
Position Summary:
- Manage month-end and year-end close activities
- Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
- Analyze general ledger activity, research discrepancies, and perform variance analysis
- Assist with financial reporting and maintaining accurate financial records
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate accounting transactions
- Support audits and ad hoc accounting projects in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain accuracy, organization, and adherence to accounting deadlines
Qualifications:
- BS in Accounting or Finance required
- 1-5+ years of accounting experience required
- Experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
