Position: Seasonal Merchandiser
FLSA: Non-Exempt – Seasonal
Reporting Relationships:
- Reports to the Lawn & Garden Sales Manager
Description
We are industry leader serving the greenhouse, nursery, and lawn & garden industries. We are looking to add a seasonal merchandiser to join our team. Who is a self-starter experienced in working in the retail or merchandising industry building displays, implementing planograms, and or executing cut-ins.
This position is throughout the Cleveland, Ohio area.
Summary:
This position is responsible for the merchandising displays of designated customers.
Responsibilities
- Work with designated customers to ensure product is appropriately displayed
- Stocking/Re-set/Set-up
- Stock displays with new or transferred merchandise
- Scan and tag overstock and place in back stock areas
- Reset specified stocking sections to merchandise plan
- Set up shelving, racking, and various fixtures
- Set up advertising signs and displays on shelves, counters, or tables
- Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles
- Ability to use light power tools (drills) and manual tools when working with displays
Required Skills and Experience
- Preferred experience in the horticulture industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Experienced with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook email and calendar)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Understands the importance of time-management and punctuality for all appointments
- Proven experience using planograms/schematics
Education/Licensure:
- High School Diploma
- Valid Driver’s license
- Reliable transportation with the ability to travel to customer’s retail locations
- Proof of car insurance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand, bend, and stoop consistently
- Ability to stand up for several hours (often on concrete and/or tile surfaces)
- Ability to walk for multiple hours
- Ability to lift above shoulder level
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders regularly
