Position Overview:

A reputable public sector authority is seeking a Senior Executive Assistant. You will play a critical role in maximizing the CEO’s effectiveness by managing complex administrative, operational, and strategic support functions. This highly visible role requires exceptional judgment, discretion, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will serve as a trusted partner, gatekeeper, and primary liaison between the CEO, senior leadership, board members, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the CEO’s primary operational partner, coordinating communications and relationships with senior leadership, governing board members, and external stakeholders
  • Manage and prioritize executive scheduling, inquiries, and competing demands to ensure focus on organizational priorities
  • Exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential, sensitive, and high‑profile matters
  • Prepare, organize, and distribute executive materials including agendas, briefings, presentations, and written summaries
  • Track key initiatives, decisions, and action items, driving follow‑up and accountability across internal teams and partners
  • Represent the CEO in written and verbal communications when appropriate, including correspondence and executive messaging
  • Coordinate complex logistics such as executive travel, meetings, engagements, and board‑related activities
  • Support executive operations through expense reconciliation, documentation, and additional projects as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field from an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting C-level executives, preferably in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to manage complex calendars, priorities, and projects with minimal oversight
  • Experience planning and supporting Board meetings, including scheduling, materials preparation, and follow-up
  • Demonstrated ability to manage an executive office and partner with senior-level leaders
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
