Credentialing Coordinator (Contract)

Pay: $24-26/hour (based on experience)
Duration: 3-6 month contract with potential for permanent hire
Schedule: Full-time

We are seeking an experienced Credentialing Coordinator to support provider credentialing and enrollment efforts within a healthcare environment. This is an immediate contract opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance and business need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process initial credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging applications for medical providers, including physicians, physician assistants, clinics, and DME providers
  • Coordinate credentialing submissions with hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, managed care organizations, and malpractice insurance carriers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider documentation, including medical licenses, DEA registrations, and privilege documentation
  • Track license expirations and ensure timely renewals to maintain compliance
  • Serve as a point of contact for providers, hospitals, payers, and regulatory agencies regarding credentialing status
  • Ensure all credentialing activities meet organizational, state, and national regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of credentialing experience within a hospital or healthcare system
  • Strong working knowledge of provider credentialing processes and regulatory requirements
  • Experience credentialing with hospitals, managed care plans, insurance agencies, and state/national licensing bodies (DEA, National Boards, State Licensure Agencies)
  • Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience is a strong plus
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Professional communication skills; comfortable working directly with physicians and medical providers
