Our client, a global hedge fund located in Hudson Yards, Manhattan is looking for a Long-term Temporary Housekeeper to join their team. This is an open-ended position with an in office schedule between the hours of 8:00am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday weekly. Compensation is $25-30/hour DOE.
The housekeeper will play an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the 175-person office, helping to ensure a welcoming and well-run environment for employees and guests. The ideal candidate has prior relevant experience, works well as a part of a team, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to the role. They should be highly organized, proactive, engaged, and willing to go above and beyond to support the daily needs of the office. The individual stepping into this role must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently with a strong sense of urgency while maintaining high standards. They should be adaptable, inherently hospitable, and comfortable assisting with a variety of housekeeping and office support tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- General office housekeeping and support tasks, including (but not limited to):
- Dusting, sweeping, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the office
- Cleaning and maintaining restrooms, pantries, and other shared spaces
- Loading, unloading, and managing dishwashers
- Restocking pantry items and ensuring pantries remain clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Detailing and maintaining office showers, cleaning office bathrooms
- Assisting with breakfast and lunch setups and breakdowns in meeting rooms
- Supporting event setup and breakdown as needed
- Monitoring office areas to ensure a consistently high standard of cleanliness and presentation
- Working with the rest of the housekeeping team to ensure daily tasks are completed
- Assisting with various ad hoc tasks to support the facilities team
Qualifications:
- Prior housekeeping or relevant cleaning experience preferred
- Should be a strong team player with positive attitude
- Must be adaptable and comfortable working in a professional office environment
- Must have a sense of urgency while maintaining quality and attention to detail
- Candidates should be proactive, engaged, and highly organized
- Must be willing to go above and beyond and take pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and service
- A “no job is too big or too small” approach is very important to our culture
- Must be dependable, professional, and able to work well with others across all organizational levels
