Our client is seeking a friendly, service‑oriented Receptionist to serve as the welcoming front‑of‑house presence in a busy New York investment office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on their feet throughout the day, interacting with people, and ensuring the office runs smoothly. The position is fully onsite five days per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, and offers a great opportunity for candidates transitioning into a corporate environment from hospitality, retail, or customer service backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees, clients, and visitors, creating a warm and professional first impression
- Greet guests, register visitors with building security, and escort them to conference rooms
- Manage conference room scheduling and assist with meeting setup and breakdown
- Stock and replenish pantry items throughout the day, including coffee, tea, snacks, and breakfast setup
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively restock supplies as needed
- Handle incoming emails related to meetings and room bookings
- Answer a low‑volume main phone line and route calls appropriately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception, pantry, and common areas
- Support weekly team lunches and assist with breakfast service on select days
- Partner closely with the office coordinator and broader admin team to ensure seamless coverage
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service background; prior office experience helpful but not required
- Comfortable being on your feet and moving throughout the office for most of the day
- Positive, professional, and approachable demeanor
- Self‑motivated with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative
- Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented
- Comfortable handling food and beverage service in a professional setting
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative office where everyone helps one another
- Business‑casual presentation
Compensation/Benefits:
- Up to $60K-$70K base salary + discretionary bonus
