Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented Construction Coordinator to support a fast‑paced development and tenant construction team within a real estate environment. This role blends administrative support with project coordination and offers a strong pathway into a junior project management track. The position is ideal for someone with real estate or construction experience who enjoys working across multiple stakeholders and keeping projects organized. Hours are 8:30am-5:30pm with strong work‑life balance and occasional after‑hours email monitoring. The role is fully onsite five days per week in Maywood, NJ, with remote summer Fridays and early close during that period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and coordination support to the construction and development team
- Manage calendars, meeting scheduling, and general support for leadership (including VP level)
- Process expenses, invoices, and departmental billing accurately and in a timely manner
- Track and manage contracts, including follow‑ups with vendors, contractors, and architects
- Draft and distribute standard communications and notices using templates
- Coordinate document management including scanning, filing, and retention
- Liaise with internal teams (Leasing, Legal, Accounting, Property Management) and external partners
- Track tenant construction budgets and maintain reporting
- Support project coordination across multiple construction and redevelopment initiatives
- Assist with documentation such as change orders, invoices, vendor onboarding, and commissions
- Maintain organization across multiple workstreams and support team efficiency
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in construction coordination, real estate, or project administration
- Prior experience within real estate, development, or construction environments required
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong communication skills with professionalism across stakeholders
- Self‑motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Degree not required
Compensation/Benefits:
- Up to $80K-$90K base salary + paid overtime + discretionary bonus
