This Associate Program Director opportunity offers $38.50/hour for a 3+ month assignment with a full-time schedule (approximately 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with flexibility as needed). The position is hybrid (80% onsite / 20% remote) in Cambridge, MA and supports an entrepreneurship-focused program within a higher education institution. The role focuses on managing student-facing entrepreneurship programs, major events, stakeholder engagement, and operational execution. Occasional evening, weekend, and travel requirements apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, coordinate, and execute entrepreneurship programs and student-focused initiatives
  • Manage multiple projects, timelines, budgets, and program operations simultaneously
  • Organize major events, speaker series, workshops, and campus-wide entrepreneurship activities
  • Recruit and coordinate high-profile speakers, founders, investors, and industry leaders
  • Develop project plans, reports, dashboards, presentations, and program metrics
  • Collaborate with faculty, students, campus organizations, and external partners
  • Manage vendors, contracts, travel arrangements, event logistics, and financial processes
  • Ensure compliance with institutional event policies and operational procedures
  • Support marketing and outreach efforts to drive student participation
  • Create and improve processes, documentation, and knowledge resources

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 3 years of administrative, operations, project management, or program management experience
  • Strong preference for higher education/academic programming experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong event management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities
  • Interest in entrepreneurship and innovation
  • Self-starter with strong initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite; ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Experience handling confidential information with discretion
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
  • Familiarity with university policies and procedures preferred
