A large Pittsburgh-based nonprofit is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. This individual will be responsible for managing and processing payroll to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments. Apply today!

Responsibilities:

– Process payroll for all employees, including timecard review, wage calculations, and deductions

– Maintain and oversee the timekeeping system, ensuring accurate tracking of hours, attendance, and leave balances

– Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including pay statements and tax-related documentation

– Partner with HR and Finance to manage employee data changes such as new hires, terminations, and status updates

– Reconcile payroll data, including taxes and benefit deductions, and resolve discrepancies as needed

– Maintain payroll records, process updates (tax forms, direct deposits), and support audits

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

– 3+ years of experience in payroll processing and administration

– Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices

– Proficiency in payroll systems and ability to quickly learn new software

– Solid analytical and mathematical skills for payroll calculations and reconciliations
