Our client, a nonprofit organization is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis in Mt Vernon, Virginia.
About The Job:
- Provide HR and payroll administrative support, including onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, and HR operations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and maintain confidential HR records
- Manage HRIS administration (Paycom preferred), data entry, reporting, and compliance tracking
- Ensure compliance with I-9 and E-Verify requirements
- Support performance management, employee training, compliance reporting, and employment verifications
- Assist with employee events, special projects, and ongoing HR initiatives
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- 3+ years of HR experience
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
- Strong HRIS experience required; Paycom preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Spanish bilingual preferred
About The Position:
- Start Date: ASAP!
- $23-$26/hr
- Permanent Salary: $58K upon conversion
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Fully Onsite
- Free parking available!
