This temporary Administrative Assistant position offers $25-$27/hour based on experience and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The role is 100% onsite in Boston, with free parking and complimentary lunch/snacks provided. The opportunity is with an independent educational institution and is expected to run through the end of October. The position supports administrative functions, event coordination, data management, and family/community engagement initiatives in a fast-paced school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate calendars and schedule interviews for leadership candidates.
- Maintain and audit data lists, spreadsheets, and databases for accuracy.
- Proofread and format emails, reports, and communications.
- Update email distribution lists and support event registration processes.
- Create and manage SignUpGenius forms and registration pages.
- Prepare name tags and support event logistics and attendee management.
- Coordinate vendors, rentals, deliveries, and event materials.
- Assist with school events, fundraising initiatives, and special programs.
- Track, organize, and maintain inventory of event supplies.
- Support CRM data entry, reporting, and ongoing data management projects.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of administrative, office support, or event coordination experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with spreadsheets, databases, and data management.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Calendar).
- Comfortable working on both Mac and PC platforms.
- CRM experience required; Blackbaud or Raiser’s Edge experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Event planning, vendor management, fundraising, nonprofit, or school environment experience is a plus.
