House Manager

This part-time House Manager position offers $20/hour and approximately 18 hours per week, with a schedule of 2-3 shifts per week from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The role is located in Brookline, MA and supports a nonprofit organization focused on assisting families impacted by a serious illness. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with an immediate start date, parking available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of a residential guest house
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and hospitality standards
- Conduct guest check-ins and check-outs
- Respond to facility issues and coordinate maintenance needs
- Manage guest records and supply inventory
- Provide tours to donors and supporters
- Support families during their stay with compassion and professionalism
- Schedule family meals and coordinate guest services
- Assist with volunteer support and coordination as needed
Candidate Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license required
- Experience in caregiving, social work, nursing, or related fields preferred
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and professionalism in emotionally sensitive situations
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient with computers and Google Business applications
- Dependable and flexible availability for at least two shifts per week
