Our client, a nonprofit professional association is seeking a Member Service Representative to join their team on a temporary with the possibility of going permanent in Alexandria, Virginia.
About The Job:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for members and prospective members, providing exceptional customer service via phone, email, chat, and web inquiries
- Process memberships, renewals, registrations, orders, and member requests accurately and efficiently
- Resolve member concerns, answer questions about products and services, and support member retention and engagement efforts
- Maintain and update membership records, including demographic information, address changes, and duplicate record management
- Conduct outreach calls and support special member engagement initiatives
- Track service metrics, assist with reporting, and support finance-related account reconciliations
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide member feedback and improve the overall member experience
About You:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of customer service or membership services experience required
- Experience working in a membership association environment preferred
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Experience with iMIS strongly preferred; Zendesk or similar ticketing platforms preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize competing demands, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, calm, and member-focused approach when handling inquiries and concerns
About The Position:
- Start Date: ASAP!
- Duration: 2-3 month contract with potential for permanent consideration
- $23-$26/hr
- Permanent Salary: $55K
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
