Beacon Hill has partnered with an education organization in hiring a part-time Database Manager to start immediately. This is a great opportunity to join a mission-driven higher education institution and play a key role in supporting the Advancement team through database management, project coordination, reporting, and donor data stewardship. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong project management skills and hands-on experience with Raiser’s Edge. This role is 15 hours per week and is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Raiser’s Edge and related advancement systems.
  • Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and security of donor, alumni, prospect, and constituent records.
  • Develop and implement database standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage data imports, exports, constituent updates, and record audits.
  • Create and distribute fundraising, donor engagement, campaign, and alumni relations reports.
  • Partner with Advancement leadership to support annual giving, major gifts, campaigns, stewardship, and alumni engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage advancement-related projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with fundraising, alumni relations, finance, and leadership teams to identify reporting needs and data solutions.
  • Track project milestones, priorities, and action items across multiple initiatives.
  • Support gift processing workflows and ensure proper documentation and reconciliation practices.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and data analytics to support fundraising strategy and decision-making.
  • Train staff on database best practices and system functionality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance data quality.
  • Maintain documentation of procedures, workflows, and reporting standards.
  • Assist with special projects, strategic initiatives, and advancement operations as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in advancement services, fundraising operations, database administration, project management, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge required.
  • Strong understanding of donor databases, constituent management, and fundraising operations.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, and data analyses.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote work environment.
  • Experience supporting higher education, nonprofit, or development/advancement organizations strongly preferred.
