Our client, professional membership organization is seeking a Publications Specialist to join their team on temporary to permanent basis in Linthicum, Maryland.
About The Job:
- Provide editorial and operational support for publications, journals, newsletters, and web content
- Copyedit and proofread materials for accuracy, grammar, and consistency
- Coordinate publication schedules and support timely print and digital releases
- Manage website content updates and multimedia publication materials
- Support webinars, annual meeting materials, awards publications, and special projects
- Collaborate with authors, physicians, editors, vendors, and internal teams
- Track publication workflows and provide backup support across multiple projects
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years of publishing, editorial, communications, or related experience
- Strong copyediting, proofreading, and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
- Experience with CMS platforms and Wrike preferred
- Medical, scientific, or scholarly publishing experience preferred but not required
About The Position:
- Start Date: End of October
- Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
- $24-$28/hr
- Permanent Salary: $66K-$68K
- Hybrid schedule: Onsite Tuesday & Wednesday
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Free parking available!
