Senior Distribution Manager
Salary: $100,000-$120,000 base + bonus
Type: Full‑Time | Exempt
Overview
The Senior Distribution Manager oversees all distribution center operations and leads warehouse personnel to ensure safety, accuracy, on‑time delivery, and inventory goals are met. This role drives daily execution, performance metrics, and continuous improvement across warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily distribution center operations including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and staffing
- Plan labor, schedules, workloads, and overtime to meet operational demands
- Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff; enforce SOPs and safety standards
- Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements and cost‑saving initiatives
- Ensure inventory accuracy and effective use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Communicate operational issues and performance updates to leadership
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment
- Serve as on‑call support for emergency situations
Qualifications
- 10+ years of warehouse/distribution experience
- 10+ years of people management experience
- Strong knowledge of warehouse KPIs, safety standards, and WMS platforms
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent experience
- Forklift experience preferred
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Distribution center environment with moderate noise and moving equipment
