Production Planning Manager to $120K – Build Structure!
Our client, a technology hardware manufacturer, is seeking a Production Planning Manager to enhance their materials and production workflows. In this hands‑on role, you’ll oversee inventory accuracy, production planning, and key operational processes that support a fast-moving engineering environment. The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of experience in manufacturing and excels at creating clarity and structure within evolving operations.
Position Details:
- Location: Boston, MA
- Work Model: In Office
- Degree: Not Required
- Responsibilities include: overseeing inventory transactions and ensuring data integrity across receiving, transfers, and cycle counts; improving material handling standards and documentation; converting production requirements into material planning outputs; collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to support changing build needs; managing shipping and receiving activities including international logistics and sensitive component handling; establishing inspection workflows and packaging guidelines; and driving continuous improvement across ERP usage, kitting, labeling, and storage practices.
- The ideal candidate possesses: 6+ years of experience in materials, inventory, or production planning within manufacturing; strong ERP capabilities, preferably with a major system such as Microsoft Dynamics; deep understanding of BOMs, MRP concepts, and production workflows; experience handling high‑value or specialized equipment; demonstrated success building or refining processes within growing environments; and a proactive, detail‑focused approach suited to fast‑changing production requirements.
