Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join its growing Life Sciences organization. This individual will play a key role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and supporting a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate will be a CPA with 3-5 years of public accounting and/or industry experience and a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances
- Support preparation of financial statements and management reporting
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls
- Assist with external audits and regulatory reporting requirements
- Support process improvement initiatives and accounting automation projects
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, FP&A, Operations, and R&D
Qualifications
- CPA required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm) and/or Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Healthcare industries
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems preferred
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
