In-House Litigation Paralegal
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our in-house legal department and support the company’s litigation, regulatory, and employment-related matters. This role will work closely with internal counsel and outside law firms to manage litigation activities, coordinate discovery, and support investigations and dispute resolution.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in-house attorneys in managing litigation matters from initial claim through resolution.
- Coordinate with outside counsel on case strategy, deadlines, discovery, and document production.
- Manage litigation calendars, case files, and document repositories.
- Assist with drafting and reviewing pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, and settlement documents.
- Coordinate discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production.
- Manage eDiscovery workflows and liaise with internal stakeholders for document preservation and collection.
- Prepare materials for mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and trials.
- Conduct legal and factual research to support ongoing litigation and regulatory matters.
- Assist with internal investigations and compile relevant documentation and summaries.
- Track litigation spend and assist with managing outside counsel invoices and budgets.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Experience supporting complex litigation and coordinating discovery.
- Familiarity with litigation workflows and court procedures.
- Experience with document management and eDiscovery platforms.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and discretion.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in an in-house legal department.
- Familiarity with employment-related disputes or regulatory investigations.
- Experience coordinating with HR, compliance, and business stakeholders during investigations or disputes.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $100,000 – $120,000
- 401(k): Up to 18% employer match
- Annual Bonus: Performance-based
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.
