Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer/Systems Admin to support the development, automation, deployment, and operational reliability of enterprise applications and infrastructure. This individual will work closely with software engineering teams to implement CI/CD best practices, automate deployment processes, maintain containerized environments, and support both production and non-production systems.
The ideal candidate has experience with modern DevOps tools, scripting, containerization, Windows administration, and cloud-native deployment practices.
Key Responsibilities:
DevOps & Automation (30%)
Design, develop, test, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a focus on stability, scalability, and supportability.
Automate software build, deployment, and monitoring processes.
Create and maintain deployment packages, Docker containers, and Helm charts.
Support continuous integration and continuous delivery initiatives across engineering teams.
Develop and maintain technical and operational documentation.
Collaborate with Technical Delivery Managers and engineering teams to improve development workflows.
Operations & Process Improvement (50%)
Promote DevOps standards, best practices, and operational excellence across engineering teams.
Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, automation, and operational efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and escalations.
Communicate technical solutions, recommendations, and project status to stakeholders.
Support the reliability and availability of development, test, and production environments.
Technical Support & Infrastructure (20%)
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, networks, and lab environments.
Monitor and maintain systems, servers, and network infrastructure.
Respond to service requests and operational incidents in a timely manner.
Maintain high availability across production and non-production environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and application issues with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications:
Experience with Windows deployment and endpoint management tools such as SCCM and Intune.
Experience with one or more scripting languages including PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Groovy.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Jenkins X.
Experience building and maintaining automated deployment pipelines.
Experience with version control and configuration management tools such as Git and Helm.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and provide regular project updates.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting enterprise development and release environments.
Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes-based applications.
Familiarity with software build automation and release management.
Passion for learning emerging technologies and DevOps best practices.
