A rapidly growing public accounting firm in Mentor, OH, is seeking a full-time or part-time Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team! This is an in-office role in Mentor, OH. We’re known for providing top-notch accounting, audit, and tax services to clients across industries, and we’re excited to welcome a motivated professional who is ready to grow with us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Code and enter bank statements and other bookkeeping transactions accurately.
  • Complete month-end processes and reconcile client bank accounts.
  • Support accounting staff and clients as needed.
  • Prepare reports, payroll, sales tax returns, year-end forms, and financial statements.
  • Process client payroll: update systems, verify timesheets, handle payroll cycles and deposits.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping and payroll experience.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop & Online)
  • Experience with sales tax return preparation is a plus.
  • Associates Degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • Strong MS Excel skills, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
