Beacon Hill Financial is working with an organization in Clifton, NJ to bring an experienced Senior Accountant to their growing team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing core accounting functions, and ensuring timely and reliable financial reporting to support leadership decision‑making. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate, timely financial transactions
- Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis
- Prepare and post journal entries and support monthly close activities
- Process vendor invoices, payments, and employee expense reimbursements
- Coordinate payroll processing with third‑party providers and reconcile payroll accounts
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for internal reporting
- Monitor cash activity and assist with deposit and collections tracking
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- Proven experience in a senior‑level accounting role with hands‑on responsibility
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, payroll, and month‑end close
