Our client in the Dallas area is seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to join their Accounting Department!
The Legal Billing Specialist will have experience in the following.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Manage high‑volume legal billing and review proformas for accuracy prior to invoicing
- Process manual invoices, billing adjustments, write‑offs, and retainer applications as approved
- Partner with attorneys to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure compliance with billing guidelines
- Monitor AR, aging reports, and support collection efforts on delinquent accounts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for billing matters
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of Legal Billing or similar billable hours experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
