Our client in the Houston area is seeking an Accountant to join their Accounting Team!
The Accountant will have experience in the following.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Perform day‑to‑day accounting and bookkeeping activities
- Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
- Complete monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries and account analysis
- Support federal, state, and local tax compliance efforts, including sales tax and required informational filings
- Identify discrepancies or variances and assist with resolution as needed
- Maintain trial balances and supporting schedules
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years of accounting experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.) is required
- Microsoft Dynamics (Navision / Business Central) experience is a plus
