Job: Senior Accountant

Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Employment Type: Temporary/Contract to Hire (with potential for extension or conversion)
Pay Range: $30-$32/hour, depending on experience and skill

Position Overview

We are working with a client seeking a high-level Accountant to join their team in the Oklahoma City metroplex.

This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing day-to-day operations with higher-level financial responsibilities.

This is a full-time, on-site position with a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices and purchase orders within the ERP system
  • Assist with inventory tracking and reconciliation
  • Maintain fixed asset records and schedules
  • Perform general ledger postings and account maintenance
  • Support purchasing processes and ensure SOP compliance
  • Manage vendor documentation (W-9s, insurance certificates, etc.)
  • Assist with state and federal tax filings

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in full-cycle accounting with hands-on responsibility
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite/Word/Excel
  • Prior working experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or a similar ERP system
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
