Beacon Hill Financial is looking for a contract to hire Payroll Manager for our client located in the St. Louis county area. The role is paying between $45-$50/hr and is 100% onsite. Responsibilities:
- Process multi‑state payroll for union and non‑union employees
- Administer union payroll, including CBAs, dues, benefits, and certified payroll
- Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Lead, mentor, and support payroll team members
- Oversee payroll systems, processing, and data accuracy
- Prepare payroll reports, tax filings, and audit support
- Resolve employee payroll questions and discrepancies
- Stay current on tax law, wage, and union regulation changes
- Partner with HR and Finance to align payroll and benefits

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
