Beacon Hill Financial is looking for a contract Accounting Manager for our client located in the St. Louis county area. The role is paying between $50-$60/hr and is 100% onsite. Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze journal entries, general ledger activity, account reconciliations (including bank and balance sheet), and monthly financial statements; generate recurring financial reports for management and external stakeholders.

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, daily banking activities, petty cash, fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and monthly tax filings; ensure accurate documentation and compliance.

Collect, analyze, and report on operational and manufacturing costs; maintain standard cost of goods, perform cost analysis, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Support internal and external audits, assist with accounting system implementations and internal controls, recommend process improvements, and provide financial insights to leadership; complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficiency in Sage Accounting Software is a plus
- Experience with external/internal auditing and compliance preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
