Our client, a well-known nonprofit media organization based in New York City, is seeking a People & Culture Senior Specialist to join its collaborative HR team. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of People & Culture and will support a wide range of HR operations, including HRIS management, compliance reporting, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, and fixed-term staffing processes. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented HR professional who thrives in a mission-driven environment and enjoys working across multiple HR functions while supporting a dynamic and evolving organization.   • Bachelor’s degree, required.
  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience in HR operations or generalist capacity, required.
  • Strong experience working with HRIS systems (Workday strongly preferred).
  • Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and employee data management.
  • Familiarity with HR compliance reporting, including EEO-1, ACA, and general regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting benefits administration, open enrollment, and related documentation.
  • Ability to manage HR transactions such as hires, terminations, and job changes with strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

The salary range for this position is $75,000-$78,000.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
