Our client, a creative nonprofit organization, is seeking an Employee Relations Consultant to join its team in New York, NY. This hybrid consulting opportunity will provide critical coverage for the organization’s HR leadership team during a leave of absence and will focus heavily on employee relations, compliance, investigations, and performance management support. The consultant will serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, handling complex workplace matters while ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to established processes. The ideal candidate is a seasoned employee relations professional with exceptional judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate a highly compliant, process-driven environment with confidence and professionalism. - Bachelor’s degree, required.
- 7+ years of employee relations and HR experience, required.
- Extensive experience managing employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and compliance-driven HR processes, required.
- Experience supporting performance management processes, including documentation, coaching, and manager guidance, required.
- Proven ability to handle complex and sensitive employee issues with sound judgment and discretion, required.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements, and HR best practices, required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, required.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization, required.
- Highly organized with strong documentation and case management experience, required.
- Ability to thrive in a structured environment with significant compliance oversight and established processes, required.
The pay for this role is $50-$65/hour.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
